Walfisch in Wangen im Allgau

Four years ago, for my grandma's 100th birthday, we ordered 2 cakes in the venerable Café Walfisch to celebrate this special festival. Apart from the high price, we were very satisfied with the Sachertorte and another delicious cake. It was also positive at the time that these cakes were ready to be picked up at the agreed time and were available. Because that is not a matter of course, what a competition in Wangen has taught us. After another 4 years we were able to celebrate another outstanding birthday, the 104th birthday of my very old grandma. In addition, I ordered a delicious cake from this traditional café: the most popular cake among Germans, namely a Black Forest cake. On the negative side, the lavish price level should be emphasized: the cake itself cost 42 € and the writing on the marzipan disc "Happy 104th birthday" was another 15 € (!!!). Yes, these are prices ... On the negative side, the cake was very difficult to cut into pieces because it was so soft. However, this problem subsided on the 2nd and 3rd day. Above all, it was disappointing that this Black Forest cake definitely did not contain enough kirsch, very likely none at all. Pity! Because with a Black Forest cake, the kirsch must be clearly noticeable, which was definitely not the case. For these reasons, in particular because of the exorbitantly exorbitant price and the probably non-existent cherry water, only a 3-star rating can be considered. Unfortunately! If it had been possible I would have given 0 stars. Were there over half an hour before closing time and were asked directly that we should eat our ice cream quickly. After ordering, the first employee came and said that we had to do without our cream in the ice cream because the cream machine had already been switched off. That was all still in the realm of judgment. I ordered a strawberry cup (description: vanilla ice cream, strawberry ice cream, roasted almonds, cream and strawberry sauce). An ice cream sundae with 3 scoops of ice cream and 4 strawberries was brought to my table for over € 6.50. The other 2 orders were only brought with half of what was promised. About ten minutes before the shop closed, a waitress came and interrupted me and pointed out that she wanted to cash in. I found it outrageous not to pay full price for not even half of the actual order. And the icing on the cake is that the waitress was offended when I refused to tip.
